It is the fruity expression of rare grape varieties, representing less than 2% of the vineyard.

For two generations we have worked hand in hand with our winegrowing partners to replant the Montils, Folle Blanche and Colombard grapes. They are forgotten varieties that almost disappeared with the phylloxera infestation in the 19th Century. These surprisingly refined grapes reveal all the flavour of highly distinctive cognacs.

Fruit, flowers, and their scents dominate these three very vegetal varieties.
Folle blanche is feminine, floral and delicate.
Colombard is fruity, greedy, round and fleshy.
Montils is sweet and rolling, with a taste of Bourbon vanilla.

Behind every cognac, initially you have a flower and then a bunch of grapes. As with wine, the grape variety will have a big impact on the taste of cognac.
