This is where it all started.

The Grand Classics are a tribute to the founding fathers of cognac in La Rochelle on the west coast of France. This collection takes us back to the Godet House’s beginnings, in 1588, in the aptly named “White City”, where cognac was first created.

From the youngest to the oldest, V.S Classic, V.S.O.P Original and X.O Fine Champagne, the Grand Classics are direct descendants of “brandewijn”, burnt wine, the first distilled wine exported in the 16th century by Bonaventure Godet on his merchant vessel from the port of La Rochelle, on the west coast of France. It is the easiest collection for cognac connoisseurs to enjoy.
