The super-blends encapsulate the best of our vineyard, terroirs and family expertise.

They can rest for ages, sometimes even centuries, snuggled up in oak in the weaving aisles of our cellars, deliberately forgotten from generation to generation. They come to life once bottled, reaching their upmost maturity and are then found on the tables of those who, mad, powerful or passionate only seek the unique, the authentic, the best.

X.O Terre is a rare blend, taking its inspiration from the 6 crus of Cognac and a model for the ageing process.

A brilliant expression of the terroir, masculine and exhilarating, it embodies the soul of our vineyards, and of our impressive blending savoir-faire. Its golden mahogany colour announces black pepper, cinnamon and spicy notes on the nose, with an athletic palate and remarkable lingering rancio finish.

1789. Gédéon-Louis Godet, of the 7th generation, is appointed Consul of Denmark due to the trade relations he has established with Northern Europe and the Hanseatic league.

Seven generations later, this official mission is still attributed to our family, making us, one of the oldest European Consulates in active service.

1945. In the immediate aftermath of World War II, and four years of occupation, father and son Jean and Jacques the 12th and 13th generations of Godets, find their cellars empty and their vineyards devastated. They have to resume distillation in order to replenish their stock of eaux-de-vie and propel their name into the 20th century.  Seventy years and two generations later, their goal is achieved.

This cognac Extra is bottled in a handcrafted decanter enhanced with rose gold. For this special cognac, Jean-Edouard Godet has used the very best batches dating back to this period of rebirth.
Connoisseurs will enjoy a deep eau-de-vie with a heady sensual bouquet, velvety aromas underlined by a spicy touch and sparks of dry flowers.

1588. King Henri IV rewards Bonaventure Godet for the quality of his ‘brand-wijn’, placing this new Maison under the protection of the French Crown. Bonaventure is the first Godet to start our adventure, the Dutchman who burnt the white wine from La Rochelle to create ‘brand-wijn’, the ancestor of cognac. Today his creation still inspires our 15th generation cellar-master Jean- Edouard Godet.

Renaissance is a loving conversation with the angels. The skilful blending of over a dozen vintages of 1er Cru Grande Champagne dating from 1848 to 1940, it is the magical result of a legacy of fifteen generations of Godets.

Though having rested for such a long time, Renaissance still hits the nose as passionate and full of life, a first vertigo which then slowly reveals fine notes of fresh jasmine, almond, prickly pear and leatherwood honey.

Renaissance gives birth to the "Cognacs d'Or" of our Maison. This very limited edition comes from the rarest of casks and contains our dearest eaux-de-vie.
